The FIT Collective
The Modern Doctor™ Certification

Medical school taught you how to diagnose and treat. It didn't always equip you with the tools you need most—to create lasting change for your patients or yourself.

Physician-built training for the doctor ready to close the gaps medical school left behind, and lead patients with skills that work in real life.

The Modern Doctor™ Certification is a professional credential for MDs and DOs, with optional Category 1 CME provided separately by The FIT Collective.

A physician accelerator

You already know the science. Now build the bridge to behavior.

Modern Doctor is for experienced MDs and DOs who want practical, evidence-informed tools to bridge medical knowledge and lasting behavior change.

This is not a life coach certification. It is four professional certifications offered exclusively to MDs and DOs, teaching physicians how to coach, then integrating that skill with advanced education in stress, nutrition, and fitness.

The practice gap

Medicine from the heart can feel like the best medicine for you and those you care for.

I grew up around my father's medical practice, watching what it meant to actually take care of people—not just treat their charts. It shaped what I thought medicine was supposed to feel like long before I understood what it would demand of me.

I trained as a pediatrician, then went further into neonatology, and later added obesity medicine to the list. Three boards, three ways of looking at the human body under stress. And still, after fellowship, something felt incomplete. I could diagnose. I could treat. But so much of what determined whether a patient actually got better lived outside the exam room—in their stress, their nutrition, their movement, their daily behavior—and nothing in my training had taught me how to work with that directly.

I found coaching almost by accident, through a medical director role that asked more of me than protocols could answer. It gave me language and structure for the part of medicine I'd been practicing on instinct all along.

From there I built a practice around what actually changes outcomes: stress regulation, sustainable behavior change, nutrition without diet culture, and strength training that respects a depleted nervous system. Not as an alternative to medicine. As the rest of it.

Today I practice medicine on my own terms—and I built Modern Doctor so other physicians could close that same gap, without having to find their way there by accident like I did.

"You aren't a coach. You are a Modern Doctor who happens to coach."
